News:

We will be having a summer break throughout August, as usual. The last band practice before the break will be on the 25th of July, but please say ASAP if you have plans to be away in July. We will restart on the 12th of September.

The hall fees were increased last September from £30.00 to £32.00, however, we have been informed that, as of September this year, there will be another increase to £33.50 from September. This is still very reasonable compared with other halls in the area and with the current 15 paying members, this eases the cost. At the beginning of the year, we received an injection of £300 to our hall hire fund from the Tea Dance gig, which also helped.

A reminder that we have agreed to do another Tea Dance on Wednesday 15th of January 2025, which will a very similar format to our last one.

We are an amateur band of musicians who share a love of the post-war "Big Band" style of music.

We have an extensive music library of big band arrangements played by bands such as Ted Heath; Count Basie; Glenn Miller; Benny Goodman; Duke Ellington and many others of that era.

We are occasionally on the lookout for experienced players, and also those who would just like to dep. for us.
